I have been designing websites since 2001. I got my start working with The Argus Institute for Families and Veterinary Medicine at the Colorado State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital. I was an administrative assistant who took on the task of re-designing the Argus website. I enjoy the artistic aspect of making a website, but I also want the sites I design to be user-friendly and highly functional. I check, and double-check, my work to be sure that your user won't be frustrated with broken links or unclear directions. I have a BS degree in Business Management from Regis University (2003). I've worked in many different jobs, including retail (Hallmark, Barnes and Noble), administrative (CSU Bookstore, CSU Clinical Sciences), pet loss (Argus Institute, World by the Tail), cookie creation and design (Cookies by Design), and of course, web design (Veterinary Wisdom®, Off-Center Studio, Argus Institute). I am also an artist using many mediums to create. My favorites include oil pastels, jewelry making, sharpie art, and collage. I also enjoy photography - especially in our lovely Oregon setting! I think cooking is an art, and I love making new dishes (and attempting to get pretty photos before we devour!) I love being the owner of my business, Off-Center Studio. Why Off-Center Studio, you ask? Well, I was involved in a wonderful teleclass last year about building dreams. My dream was to start this very business. We brainstormed names during the class, and I came up with several. The one that "stuck" was Off-Center. I chose studio since I do more than just web design! And I chose off-center because, well, I am a little off-center! I don't run with the crowd. I am an individual, and I like my uniqueness. So I am celebrating that with the name of my business! (The design of the header of these pages is a photograph I took of near-by Fogarty Beach. I incorporated the design of my tattoo into the header as well! It is a one-of-a-kind designed by me and realized by a fantastic tattoo artist. It rests permanently on the top of my right foot. Ouch.)
